IN BASTROP, LOUISIANA
a committed family man that fell in love with a beautiful
woman. His name was Mertis, her name was Lillie,
their first-born was "Mable John". She was christened at
the Washington Chapel in Bastrop, Louisiana in 1931...
DECLARED "DR. MABLE JOHN DAY" IN BASTROP, LA
returned to her legacy hometown. While there, the
Mayor of Bastrop personally presented her with
a proclamation declaring the date of NOVEMBER 3RD as
"DR. MABLE JOHN DAY" in Bastrop, Louisiana.
